The last few weeks have flown by. Here’s an update for the WOMEN’S GEAR AWARD # she is outdoors summer 2021! Altogether 28 brands signed up a total of 37 products. We are very happy to have all of them on board. Earlier in the process we asked the brands a few questions about their company and their product. You can now find all nominated products alongside some images and the answers to these questions on our website. 

So what is happening next? – Currently the submitted products are being evaluated by our expert jury. Our logistics partner Mailboxes ETC. in Garching safely circumvented all hurdles of the Brexit and ensured that our jury members had an in-depth hands-on experience with the products for the digital jury meetings that took place in advance. 

At the #she is outdoors office preparations are right now running for the final jury meeting and our award event in Interlaken, Switzerland from the 29th to the 31st of july 2021. Therefor we have been to beautiful Interlaken a few weeks ago for content creation for the hybrid event and the award ceremony. We are really looking forward to physically meeting the jury and our media partners and spending time in the mountains after the long period of preparation and the uncertainties of the lockdown. ‍

Here is a short overview about the most important parts of our event: There will be the first „real“ face to face jury meeting on thursday the 29th of July. The final testing and evaluating of the products will take place on an extended hike nearby the event location. The following day is going to be the decision day, the winning products will be chosen by the jury. 

The official part of the event will be taking place on saturday, the 31st of july: This day the live stream will take place with our amazing host, Johanna Mühlbeyer from Equalate Sports. Our event manager Maria Müller from mecMILLER is all about making the day a fun experience for those at home and on location. This event is free of charge and open for everybody and can be accessed via our website, Facebook, Linkedin or our YouTube channel. It will start with an official opener in the morning and a cool interactive challenge. In the afternoon we will briefly talk about the ideas and background of the award, followed by some interesting workshops and key note speeches.

In the late afternoon during the award ceremony we will reveal the winning products. A nice digital sundowner will close the day. You can find the exact schedule of the event on our website.
