Fritschi Xenic ski touring lightSecure hold in downhill skiing without blocking, with progressive power transmission and reliable release, very easy to handle and only 280 g per unit with a DIN setting range 4-10. The light weight, the easy step-in and the practical operation make the Xenic an exceptionally agile binding for ski tours in any terrain. The innovative front unit with horizontally moving pin levers provides a secure hold in front and the exceptionally wide heel support in back ensures perfect control of the skis. When skiing downhill, length compensation of 10 mm for the flexing ski ensures a reliable release according to the settings. With these features it is ideal, also for beginners. In its weight category the Xenic 10 stands out by its very practical handling. The simple step-in and the equally easy, effortless use of all functions provide plenty of safety, especially in difficult terrain. Secure hold in downhill skiing without blocking. The pin levers of the innovative frontal unit shift horizontally and thus absorb vertically acting forces. An unintended release caused by shocks from the bottom is prevented without the need to block the system while skiing downhill. Complete, well-timed release in case of a forward fall. When the heel is released the boot tips forward. Only the bindings from Fritschi will then also release the boot in the frontal unit at the right time, between an angle of approx. 65° to 75°, depend ing on the form of the boot’s front.
Ski touring light and safe.

"Tell us more about your COMPANY / PRODUCT SUSTAINABILITY... "
COMPANY: At home in the Swiss mountains
Surrounded by mountains and glaciers, we take care of nature and continue to be inspired by it. Only by taking responsibility, we do protect our planet.
Sustainability is firmly anchored in Fritschi‘s corporate culture and is lived by a team of 45 employees.
The careful use of resources begins with development and continues throughout the entire value-added process. In doing so, we make sure we do not live beyond our means economically and we do not overexploit nature. The carbon and glass fiber reinforced plastics and first-class light metals in our bindings are almost 100% produced by specialized companies in Switzerland in an environmentally friendly manner. Then assembled in Reichenbach, Switzerland by nimble hands, as if in a manufactory, precisely and part by part into a high-quality product.
Construction and selection of materials are designed for a long life and a short distance is always aimed for.
Less is more and do more with less is our device.
Manufacture: All individual parts made of high-tech plastics and first-class metals are from environmentally friendly processing, are manufactured in a resource-saving manner - predominantly in Europe and are subsequently produced and processed in Switzerland.
Purchasing: If technically possible, material is purchased in Switzerland, in some cases from Europe and in justified exceptional cases from Asia. The goal is to purchase according to demand and to keep distances as short as possible. When purchasing, we ask our suppliers to refrain from using plastic packaging, for example.
Assembly/Production: At our headquarters in Reichenbach, the individual parts are assembled precisely and part by part by nimble hands, as if in a manufactory, to produce a high-quality product. The latest production and processing methods are used.
Packaging: After assembly in Reichenbach, the bindings are packed and shipped in recyclable cardboard boxes, also from Switzerland. We take care to avoid plastic wherever possible, reusing the packaging or returning it to the supplier.
Sales: Because the entire value chain from development to production is located in Switzerland, we are required to offer our products in the highest quality at an internationally competitive price-performance ratio. We take care to ensure that our products have a long service life so that, among other things, retailers never have the wrong product in stock.
Markets/Distribution: 85% of our sales are exported to 34 countries through our own distribution network. In Switzerland and in the key market of Germany, we have our own sales organization and are in direct contact with the specialized trade. In the other markets, sales are handled by distributors. Because the demand for bindings is seasonal, we do not have our own branches worldwide.
Maintenance: Proper maintenance ensures optimal function and prolongs the life of the binding.
Repair: Repairs are carried out by the specialized dealer and what he cannot repair is repaired at Fritschi‘s headquarters in Reichenbach.
Recycling Binding: Nothing is thrown away, hardly any waste, everything is recycled. The recycling of bindings is currently being tested in Switzerland. In Europe and overseas we are working on a solution for distributors and retailers to take back bindings and look for a possibility to recycle them in the country itself. We do not consider it an ecological solution to have the recycled bindings transported back to Switzerland. We use technical synthetic material because it is easy and simple to recycle. Thus the course is set to have bindings recycled worldwide in the future.
Return bindings in Reichenbach: We take back bindings in Reichbach and recycle them professionally.
Ethics: We have always maintained long-term, cooperative relationships with all our stakeholders. We work in a needs- and solution-oriented manner and take responsibility for our actions. The values that guide us are anchored in our mission statement.
Theme of common good: By having work carried out by sheltered workshops, we enable disabled people to have meaningful, satisfying work.
PRODUCT:
Development: The well-coordinated team of engineers and technicians tinkers, fine-tunes optimal technical solutions with great precision every day. In the process, new, independent bonds are created. The challenge in the technology life cycle is to find the optimal time to transition from the existing technology to a new innovative technology.
Service quality: Service quality is a top priority at Fritschi. Only satisfied customers recommend us. In addition, every time we talk to a customer, we learn more about their needs and can incorporate this knowledge into our development. We invest a lot of resources in training our staff, distributors and dealers, that ski tourers can ultimately travel safely and with the right equipment. A lot is also invested in the rapid availability of spare parts. The basic competence here lies mainly with the specialized trade and Fritschi is on hand when questions arise. In our view, this is how we create the greatest added value for our customers.
