Thus, the Radical is made of recycled material that is PFC free. This practical backpack-duffle combo is a reduced, lightweight bag with a nifty backpack carry option. The padded shoulder straps can be easily stowed or extended as a carry strap. Both the back surface and the shoulder straps are softly padded, which leads to a high wearing comfort. Another special thing: All straps and features can be removed and stowed. This makes the Radical even sleeker and cleaner. The extra-long center zipper access and two compression straps allow for easy, convenient and compact packing. The side zipper provides an additional quick access option for when you‘re on the go. The values of durability, reliability and repairability of the products are central to the Swiss manufacturer of outdoor equipment. This also includes the conscious and responsible use of materials. For example, 97% of its products use Oeko-Tex® 100 or bluesign® certified fabrics, buckles and zippers. The company also aims to be 100% PFC-free by 2024. In addition, more and more EXPED products are made of recycled materials. When it comes to sustainable packaging, the motto „less is more“ also applies. All EXPED packaging is reduced to a minimum, is made of recyclable cardboard and is tucked instead of glued. EXPED also attaches great importance to environmental and climate protection. In addition to the mats, from 2022 also the sleeping bags as well as liners and thus more than 70% of the products are CO2 offset with myclimate and climate neutral. The Swiss company has set itself the goal of being completely climate neutral by 2024. In terms of social responsibility, EXPED can look back on many years of cooperation with partner factories.
